The Boys & Girls Club (BGC), an affiliate of the Family & Children's Center, mission is to enable all young people to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens. BGC provides children a safe place to learn and grow; ongoing relationships with caring, adult professionals; life-enhancing program and character development experiences; and hope and opportunity. The Program Assistants are to provide youth development program for school age children in Mishawaka Schools that are designed to enhance their physical and social development.

Essential job functions include working with the Branch Director to plan and implement activities for character & leadership development; education & career development; health & life skills, the arts; and fitness & recreation. Also responsible to attend staff meetings, training and planning sessions; help to maintain a clean, safe environment and assist with evaluation of the program activities. Successful candidates will have experience working with at risk youth and have a college degree or working towards a college degree. Excellent communication and community relations' skills and the ability to work with diverse population are necessary.

We currently have openings for Program Assistants to work Monday - Friday while school is in session and possible daytime hours during the summer.  Hours are as follows:

2:00 pm - 6:00 pm at South Bend Club sites 
2:30 pm - 6:30 pm at the Mishawaka Club sites
